Email History

To further state the facts regarding my transaction with Angels Bridal Boutique/My Fairy Tale Wedding and Angela Vaden, I have included emails sent to her… from start to finish. It’s quite entertaining to read through them. Enjoy.

Angela Vaden, Angels Bridal Boutique

This is the “clutch” email. In it I attached pictures of the dress, stated I wanted a sweetheart neckline, and a sash with a flower on it. All of these requests would eventually be ignored. Perhaps I should have been less polite with my speech?

I wish I had never even mentioned the Mags dress, which is I guess where Angela Vaden got the idea for an open-backed dress. I mentioned it simply to state that I would like the dress to be mermaid fitting. I thought that I was pretty obvious.

And here is the great gap. Between May and July 3rd I heard nothing from her. Not. A. Peep. This was stated up front in her contract so I didn’t bug her with a single “checking in” email… although it was difficult to “trust the process” as she calls it. Oh how I wish I hadn’t.

Interpretation? The woman took a 2 week vacation. She seriously couldn’t find a place with some air to work? If the dress had arrived in 2 weeks like she stated here, my dress would have arrived 6 days before my wedding.

The next email is sent 9 days before my wedding.

No response until 3 days later.

This email, sent after Angela promised the dress to me in “a few days” was sent 4 days before my wedding.

Did not hear back from her. Now in a panic, I sent this just 3 days before my wedding, having no clue as to whether or not my dress would make it in time.

Then this. Very unimpressive. Below she promises to overnight the wedding dress… so it would arrive THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING.

Lame excuse. When working with workins it is really tight? Didn’t you formerly promise me the dress by early July?

The dress did finally arrive… 18 hours before I would walk down the aisle. (In another dress I was able to scrounge up at the last minute I might add)

The dress she mailed was not an Ali by Augusta Jones as I had requested, but instead her Mags dress design. Thus ensued the debate.

I humored her with this:

Her response was unbelievable. I was literally shocked.

“I do not replicate.” That part just kills me every time! I didn’t ask her too, but she took some pretty strong liberties to design something I never approved of nor stated that I liked. She never asked about making an open-backed dress for me.

I asked her to design a “custom” wedding dress that looked like Ali by Augusta Jones. It would have been fine if it wasn’t “exactly” like the picture. Instead, she gave me a style of dress that she had pre-designed and was comfortable making.

This email, sent THE DAY OF MY WEDDING from my maid of honor’s iphone while on my way to a hair appointment was my final communication to Angela Vaden. I decided that she would NOT play any other part in stealing the sunshine from my wedding day.

The day, and the back-up dress scrounged up at the last minute were fabulous.

  1. Angela Vaden has done this to more than 20 brides!

Etsy CLOSED both her shops and sent me an email to say “this seller no longer qualifies to be part of the etsy community and will not return”, she did not close her shop its just another lie on her blog, she got caught scamming people. I hope everyone finds this BEFORE they even consider her to be part of their wedding plans so they are not left in the disappointing position so many other brides have been.

Please note she continues selling on Wedzu and if you are another scammed bride there is opportunity to leave a “review” here – http://www.weddingbee.com/reviews/angels-bridal-boutique

    • Wow! It is amazing that Etsy sent you that reply. I shot them an email in their “report this shop” option menu and never heard back. VERY interesting considering what she posted on her blog. Did you also order a dress from her? Also, how did you find my site?

  2. Yes I ordered a dress from her. I contacted etsy a while after it arrived along with another buyer from weddingbee with proof she had advertised a dress made by someone else, I bought based on that photo and what I received was completely different. She was closed 2 days later and I got the reply from etsy to say she no longer qualified to be part of their community.

I actually think you might have got my fabric lol, its hard to tell from the photo’s if its the same lace pattern I was promised. I ordered the dress you received only with a different neckline and was supposed to receive it around March, nothing came until May when I got something a 10 year old could have made, I was in tears.

What broke my heart was Angela showed me pictures of fabric options and said all were available, I picked a beautiful fabric and she said she had ordered it, in 7 months she didn’t mention any problem with the fabric. When the dress arrived 3 months late it was a completely different lace pattern and very very cheap, not even close to what I picked. When I emailed her about it she pretty much said – Yea I know I couldn’t get the one you picked and I have the right to change to another, its in my policies.

It wasn’t in the policies when I ordered, she added it later. How can this woman’s family be in any way proud of her, what do her children and partner think of all this? It is so so sad to set this example for children. I actually feel so very sorry for her.

Found your site when looking for her blog to see her response for her shop closure, figured she would have came up with some excuse!

    • Wow! Recycled lace? Now theres an thought! Mine definitely appeared to have been drug around, used, etc. So much for a “custom” dress. I would have just taken a new, clean one!

The way she works, deals with people, sews, and conducts business is unbelievable. I am a firm believer in the fact that the Truth wins– and those who lie, cheat, and steal do not prosper.

I pray others decide to do business elsewhere and that when she sees the level of dissatisfaction on this blog and others, it can serve as her wake up call.
